SMS Privacy Policy

Who sends these messages

Lilo AI, Inc. ("Lilo") provides messaging technology that enables businesses using Lilo ("Subscribers") — salons, spas, barbershops, and other service providers — to communicate with their customers by text message. The Subscriber you booked with owns its messaging program, decides what it sends, and holds the relationship with you; Lilo is its software and messaging platform provider.

Messages may be delivered through messaging infrastructure operated by Lilo — including a Lilo-operated toll-free number used to send appointment reminders and related transactional messages on Subscribers' behalf — or through a telephone number dedicated to a Subscriber. Lilo controls what is sent from its shared toll-free number and does not send you marketing on its own account.

This SMS Privacy Policy explains how Lilo and its Subscribers handle mobile phone numbers and text-message (SMS) communications. It supplements our main Privacy Policy and applies specifically to SMS messaging sent through the Lilo platform.

1.Overview

Lilo provides appointment booking and client-communication software to businesses in the beauty, wellness, and personal-care industries. When you provide your mobile phone number to a Lilo Subscriber and consent to receive text messages, that Subscriber — using Lilo as its messaging provider — may send you appointment confirmations and reminders, scheduling updates, customer-service and conversational messages, and (separately, where you opt in) promotional messages.

2.SMS Information We Collect

In connection with SMS messaging, Lilo may collect and process:

  • Mobile phone numbers;
  • SMS opt-in and consent status;
  • The date, time, and source of consent;
  • The type of messages the recipient has consented to receive;
  • SMS messages sent and received through the Lilo platform;
  • Message delivery and status information; and
  • Opt-out and help requests, including STOP and HELP.

3.How We Use SMS Information

Lilo uses SMS information to provide messaging services to Subscribers and their customers, including:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders;
  • Scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation notifications;
  • Customer service and conversational messaging;
  • Promotional or marketing communications where the recipient has separately consented to receive them;
  • Processing STOP, HELP, and other messaging requests;
  • Maintaining records of messaging consent and preferences;
  • Operating, securing, and troubleshooting the Lilo messaging platform; and
  • Complying with applicable legal, regulatory, carrier, and messaging requirements (including TCPA and A2P 10DLC).

4.Mobile Information and SMS Consent

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Lilo does not sell or rent mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information. Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent will never be shared or sold to third parties, affiliates, or lead generators — no mobile data will be shared with them for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Lilo may use telecommunications carriers, messaging infrastructure providers, hosting providers, and other service providers as necessary to operate the Lilo platform and deliver SMS communications. These providers process information only as necessary to provide services to Lilo and its Subscribers, are contractually bound to use the information solely to deliver the service, and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where required by law.

SMS consent is voluntary. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.

You provide consent by checking the applicable consent option when booking an appointment or managing your profile with a Subscriber. Where both transactional and promotional SMS communications are offered, consent for promotional communications is collected separately, and neither option is pre-selected. We retain a record of each consent, including its timestamp and source.

6.Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies depending on appointments, customer interactions, and the messaging services the recipient has elected to receive.

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

7.Opting Out and Help

Recipients may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP. Recipients may reply HELP for assistance, or contact the business directly.

Opting out of SMS communications does not prevent a recipient from booking appointments, purchasing services, or otherwise interacting with a Subscriber through other available methods.

8.Data Retention

We retain SMS information for as long as necessary to provide the service and to meet legal, regulatory, and carrier record-keeping obligations (for example, consent and opt-out records), after which it is deleted or de-identified.
